The Oregon Reporter Podcast is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, run by Oregon attorneys, for Oregon attorneys, delivering a monthly review of the most important and interesting law updates in the state. Hosted by Oregon attorneys, Tom Moseman and Everett Meadows, the Oregon Reporter Podcast explores recent appellate decisions and legislation, and how those things might affect practicing attorneys. Each episode of the Oregon Reporter Podcast will qualify you for one OSB accredited MCLE credit in the state of Oregon, that can be reported on your MCLE transcript.
The goal for the Oregon Reporter Podcast is to provide Oregon attorneys a modern method for obtaining the most contemporaneous and timely updates on Oregon law, in a convenient and (perhaps even) fun package. Theoretically, an attorney who listens to every episode of the Oregon Reporter Podcast, will finish their reporting cycle with 36 MCLE credits, all having been completed inside of their car or through their AirPods, using software that they already have on their phones or computers, without any flicking through cumbersome catalogs, and without any one-off MP3 or video player downloads. For reporting convenience, all episodes will automatically appear in your normal podcast feed on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, etc., and all MCLE Event Id. numbers, materials, and additional information will be accessible and preserved in that feed well beyond the applicable reporting timelines.
In addition to providing “general” CLE credits, we aim to provide some of those harder-to-get credits in Ethics, Abuse Reporting, Mental Health, etc. on a rotating three-year schedule. All episodes are organized in "seasons," corresponding to the reporting year (May though April). CLE credits are reportable for the three years prior to your reporting year screening date, meaning that, for the April 2027 Reporting Cycle, bar members will be able to report each of the episodes from Seasons 1 through 3 (and so on).
You can access the Oregon Reporter Podcast episodes, including all MCLE ID numbers and additional materials, anywhere you normally listen to podcasts, in the sidebar here (organized by season or credit type), or in the player at the top of the home page. If you are not able to find the Oregon Reporter Podcast in your podcast player of choice, please email info@oregonreporterpodcast.com, and let us know.
